Mahinalani...2008 WCC Volleyball Player Of The Year!

Born in Hawaii and raised in Montana, Mahinalani tasted success early and often, but it only fueled her ambition to win more, to be better, to win on a bigger stage. Her prep career played out like most kids can only dream of: state championships in volleyball, basketball, and track, multiple all-state selections, multiple state tournament mvp awards, multiple player of the year awards.

Now in her junior year of college, she’s earned multiple tournament mvp’s as well as being honored in the city of San Diego hall of champions. Mahinalani has also been named WCC All-First Team now for both her Sophomore and Junior seasons, and was recently named the 2008 WCC Volleyball Player Of The Year.

Volleyball is a team game though, and Mahinalani knows that at the end of the day, what matters most is that W. She is the leader of a team currently ranked nationally in the top 20 with their sights set on a return trip to the NCAA tournament after having claimed their 3rd straight WCC Championship.
